Longtime friends Ned Johnson and Neil Thomson were seasoned racquet-sport enthusiasts when they discovered pickleball—and quickly became fanatics. Following years on the tennis court, where high-performance, good-looking gear was abundant, they found that the pickleball landscape was fiercely lacking—in both style and quality. Looking for the heritage details and crisp aesthetics they knew from the tennis hut, the friends came up empty.
